Following the success of TAC 2026 at the University of Reading, the Royal Society of Chemistry Thermal Methods Group invites members, colleagues, and newcomers alike to join us for our annual conference, TAC 2027, hosted by the University of Aberdeen from 22-24 March 2027.
TAC continues to provide a friendly and engaging forum for researchers, industrial scientists, instrument manufacturers, and students to share the latest developments in thermal analysis and calorimetry across a broad range of disciplines.
This year's programme will feature presentations spanning established and emerging applications, with strong interest anticipated from the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and food sectors. The conference will also showcase advances in security and energetic materials, advanced materials and polymers, energy technologies, and the life sciences. Further details of the technical programme will be announced as they become available.
Building on the success of previous meetings, TAC 2027 will once again include a dedicated Early Career Session (ECS), providing a platform for emerging researchers and analysts to present their work and connect with the wider thermal analysis community.
Alongside the scientific programme, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with leading manufacturers of thermal analysis instrumentation and supporting technologies through a series of short presentations and a dedicated exhibition.
Poster presentations will also be featured throughout the conference.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided during the event, offering additional opportunities for discussion and networking. Delegates are also warmly invited to attend the Conference Dinner, providing a relaxed setting to reconnect with colleagues and forge new collaborations.
